General English

These are the typical areas that you will learn at each level. You will have a course book for your class and your teacher will also use other materials suitable to your needs and interests.

General English Level 1:

Common European Framework A1 (Beginner)

General English Level 2:

Common European Framework A1+ (Elementary)

General English Level 3:

Common European Framework A2 (Pre-Intermediate)

General English Level 4:

Common European Framework B1 (Intermediate)

General English Level 5:

Common European Framework B2 (Upper-Intermediate)

Our internationally recognised LCCI English language qualifications are used by employers and universities worldwide as evidence of language proficiency. Aligned to the Common European Framework (CEF), our English language range covers English for specific purposes, general English and teaching English.

The levels for LCCI English qualifications listed below are attainment points within the qualification, and do not necessarily relate to the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF). Please check the course specifications for details of qualifications which carry QCF credit.
